About Zeh L’Zeh

Zeh L’Zeh was founded in 2020 with the idea to solve two issues food should go to waste after stores have closed before Shabbos & distribute them to families in need.  At the end of each week, Zeh L’Zeh works tirelessly packing, sorting, and organizing foods from local takeouts, and distributing them to people in need. From Kugels to pies, dips,  baked goods, and everything in between, Zeh L’zeh makes sure that the food is enjoyed & doesn’t go to waste

Our Mission

Our mission at Zeh L’Zeh is to offer a lifeline of nourishment and hope to individuals and families facing hardships. Whether impacted by financial struggles or natural disasters, we are committed to delivering emergency Shabbos food assistance with compassion and dignity. Our commitment is to ensure that no one in our community has to face the burden of hunger alone. By mobilizing resources, fostering partnerships, and nurturing a network of support, we strive to create a world where access to nutritious food is a right, not a privilege. We are more than a food bank; we are a beacon of hope and a helping hand, reaching out to those in need with compassion and dignity.

Its simple. Once the hustle of Friday shopping has come to an end, many stores are left with freshly made goods – from the bakery to the takeout. With the hours nearing Shabbos, these foods would go to waste.

Zeh L’zeh carefully sorts,  organizes and packs the food to be readily available to those in need.

Save a Family

Step up to their Plate

Families in our local community are unable to afford the basic shopping trip. By Supporting Zeh L'Zeh you can quiet their pangs of hunger and help them feed their family with dignity.

Giving your Food Another Chance

If you have fresh quality food that will not be eaten, why not give it to people in need? Zeh L'zeh saves food from going to waste and makes it available to families in our local community.

Feeding Families Fighting Hunger

For families struggling to make ends meet, weekly grocery runs bring untold stress and anxiety. Empty fridges and bare pantries are their day-to-day reality. Zeh L'Zeh's weekly distributions are cooked foods and pantry staples that allow families to choose according to their preferences.
